The shows creators alawys wanted to have one house robot that was a girl. They wanted the name to sound hard. For a while we called her sharon, but then the show's producer Steve Carsey changed her name to Matilda.
In series one Matilda was flipped by Rex Garrod's Reclyclopse. It was the first time a house robot had been flipped and saw the start o Rex's mission to attack and flip house robots whenever possible.
At the end of series two, Matilda and the house robot were put up against all the remaining contestant robots. She was aquipped with a black gunpowder charge which was set off by radio control. It made her spin on the spot, ending sparks and flames high in the air.
During series series two Matilda was the only house robot that could be relied upon to sterr in a staight line, so was the first choice for joust, where she crushed most opponents by charging with her tusks at speed.
In series three matilda came up against the dreaded hypnodisc and took a terrible thashing. Both her tusks were chopped off by the wirling wonder.
